What is 3D Stamp Foil

3D Stamp Foil is combined with hot foil stamping to give the raised portion touches of gold leaf or other foil through heat transfer, creating a striking look. Furthermore, the combined process of 3D embossing and foiling enhances the experience further by raising the stock itself into multiple levels instead of just one.

This is done by using a special 3D die created based on your custom made artwork. This will further add depth, light and movement to your designs and collaterals by using this special and textured die plate which has micro-etched patterns combined with a wide selection of foil colours available in house, imported These foil sheets come in both matte and gloss finishing, a perfect option for adding depth to an image when combined with embossing, hot foiling creates a multi-dimensional look and feel that will really stand out when it comes to visual impact.

How does it work?

3D Stamp Foil procedures involve the use of two metal dies – one has a raised surface on it and the other has a mating surface recessed into it. The two dies fit into one another. A paper sheet and foil are placed between the two dies and then heat and pressure are applied to squeeze the raised die into the recessed die. Similar to being pressed by an iron, the paper fibers permanently reshape to take on the intended design.

  • Content is printed on the card stock.
  • A glossy, raised finish is printed on top of the content.
  • Foil is added on top of the glossy, raised finish.
