※ Foil Stamp

Foil stamping, also known as foil printing, is a versatile printing technique that involves applying a metallic or pigmented foil to a surface in order to create a decorative finish. The process makes use of metal dies, combined with heat and pressure, to permanently bond a thin foil film to a paper-based substrate.

※ Emboss/Deboss

The first part of the embossing process is the creation of the die, which is made up of two metal plates that will sandwich the paper. Next, the printer places the stock between the front and back of the die. If you’re having an image embossed, the female die will go on top of the stock and male die will go on the bottom as the counterdie.

※ Letterpress

Letterpress printing, or letterpressing, refers to the specific and specialized printing process that creates letterpress stationery. Letterpress printing is also a form of relief printing, a method that consists of carving away a surface and printing from the raised remains.

※ Spot UV

Spot UV refers to the application of a clear polymer coating to a specific area (or areas) of a printed piece to highlight it, rather than coating the entire surface of a printed item.

※ Edge painting

Edge painting at its surface sounds pretty simple – it’s a process by which color is applied to the edges of cards, invitations, even books or journals. Edge painting can be done in any color, including metallics and foils , and is usually mixed by hand to be matched to a specific Pantone color.

※ Laser Cut

Laser Cutting is a non-contact process which utilizes a laser to cut materials, resulting in high quality, dimensionally accurate cuts. The process works by directing the laser beam through a nozzle to the workpiece. A combination of heat and pressure creates the cutting action.

※ 3D Emboss

3D embossed has relatively high requirements for making molds. It needs to design the three-dimensional map in the design software, use the CNC technology to carve a three-dimensional mold, and then put the paper in the middle and press it to get a rich three-dimensional effect.

※ 3D Stamp Foil

Embossed hot stamping is a process combining embossing and stamping. First you need to make a copper metal sheet and a resin sheet. Then put the gold foil and paper in the middle, heat and pressurize, and shape at one time.

※ Digital 3D print

Digital foiling looks virtually identical to traditional foil stamping, but rather than manufacturing a “stamping die” and melting foil onto the card, the image to be foiled is digitally printed and a different type of foil is used which adheres to the printed image. The stimulating effect a 3D varnish has to the senses by creating images you can actually physically feel, combined with the visual effect hot foil stamping and a personalized spot UV can make.
