What’s the difference between metallic foil and raised foil?
Our metallic foil products are created by the traditonal hot foil stamping method. As such, the finish of the foil is flat. In contrast, Raised Foil has a raised foil finish, that if you run your fingers over the card you will feel the foil. The height of the foil is approximately 60 microns.
What colour can raised foil print
Raised digital foil is available in limited colors including gold, silver ,blue, green, red.
Additional notes
- Raised Foil cards are usually printed on 16pt card stock, matte or soft-touch laminated on both sides , which gives them a substantial thickness of 19pt.
- We do not recommend having fonts smaller than 10pt on the Raised Foil Artwork. However, if you use fonts with thicker strokes or bold fonts, we do not recommend having fonts smaller than 12pt.
